Going into this assignment, I already knew that continually using the same password was very detrimental to the safety of my personal information. When I was younger, I used to have the same password for every account I owned and it wasn't really that big of a deal because none of the websites I went to had much personal information in their possession. But now, those six accounts that have the same passwords are the only accounts I want ease-of-access to instead of security. The rest of my accounts and their corresponding passwords are kept on a piece of paper, carefully tucked away for only my viewing pleasure.
I think this assignment should be a requirement for anyone who uses the Internet. A lot of people don't seem to care about online security because nothing has happened to them yet. My parents used to think this way until I pushed them in the right direction. Granted, they still keep all of their accounts and passwords in a Word document on their desktop under a very conspicuous name but at least it's sort of a step in the right direction.
